Course Description

Learn how to skillfully use your camera to take beautiful photos. This course is an introduction to the basics of digital photography. Learn about different types of digital cameras and become familiar with basic terminology and camera settings. Students will also explore the artistic side of composition in photography.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will gain a deeper understanding of how to confidently use their cameras to capture better pictures.

Notes

Cameras: It is highly recommended that students bring their digital cameras to class. However, students who do not yet own a digital camera will still learn a great deal of useful information to help them make a more informed decision about which camera to consider purchasing in the future.

Required Supplies: Students should bring note-taking materials (notebook and pen/pencil) to class.

Certificates of Completion: Students will be able to generate and print a certificate of completion for the course, through their personal portal, upon satisfactory completion of the class.

High School/Minor Students: If you are currently enrolled in high school AND/OR are 17 years of age or younger wishing to register, you will need to do so by contacting the Student Care Team at (336) 734-7718 as certain restrictions may apply.
