Course Description

Have you ever wanted to learn American Sign Language (ASL)? This beginner course in ASL focuses on learning finger spelling and building a basic vocabulary of simple conversational signs. As students progress through the class, they will become increasingly familiar with ASL, gaining a rich understanding of the deaf world through each of the course's carefully crafted and engaging activities.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will have gained an introductory understanding of American Sign Language (ASL) and its basics.

Notes

Certificates of Completion: Students will be able to generate and print a certificate of completion for the course, through their personal portal, upon satisfactory completion of the class.

High School/Minor Students: If you are currently enrolled in high school AND/OR are 17 years of age or younger wishing to register, you will need to do so by contacting the Student Care Team at (336) 734-7718 as certain restrictions may apply.
